Spring head-cleaning

You know how some people take a week to do their spring house cleaning? Well, I took several days off from work to do some spring head cleaning. (As in "I've finally got my head together, and my body fell apart" ).
I've tried to get caught up on what relaxes me and today I've added several pictures of my recent activites. Some are not so hot, but others I'm kind-of proud of. Hope you enjoy!

Here is a purse I made using my Janome Embellisher.

And here is a wall hanging I made with some micro bugle bead embellishing.

I've also finished stitching a needlepoint case. This motif is repeated on the other side. I just need to finish it and it gets sent off to my sister as part of her (late) birthday present.

Finally, here are a couple of other pieces made with the embellisher that I have not decided what to do with.

My plans now include more time to do what is important to me and things that help me de-stress. That includes sewing and crafting activies. I'm taking a class with Sue Bleiweiss that starts next week (Creative Mixed Media Journaling Techniques).
I also want to take some long weekends with my DH to do more exploring of New England.
I'll keep you posted to let you know how all of it works out!
Bye for today,
Nina

Wonderful class...

This week I took a 2-day class in Crewel with Judy Jeroy. She is a great teacher and the project is lovely.
I've also been playing with my Janome Xpressions needle-felting machine and have made a purse and some wall hangings and have had fun just playing. Any of you who felt, or work with wool, or do machine embroidery should get one of these.
